A watch posted earlier in this thread now for sale on Ebay, looks to be in great condition: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Spee...171081?hash=item2632087049:g:8TkAAOSwkAxeLFiD
Yes- that's my watch. I started a new job last week and need the cash. I think I've set the opening price fairly to sell. I didn't have nearly enough posts on this forum to list it here, as I despise the eBay and PayPal fees, but at least there's good exposure to buyers there. I used to have a Rolex GMT, but became a little self conscious about it and found Omega to be more under the radar and better fit for me and able to own more of them for the same money. The first one I got (and still have) in 2011 is a 300M with a quartz movement. It's nice to pull that out of the drawer and it's running with the current time. Right after that, I got one of these- https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...ay-date-chronograph-40-mm-date-32332404004001

Soon after getting a moonwatch, I discovered the Tintin, so I sold the moonwatch to partially fund the Tintin. My latest and final acquisition for the time being is a Speemaster '57. The band darkens up over a few months, but there's something about it that is so elegant. It's my favorite watch now by far and the one I wear the most- https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...a-co-axial-chronograph-41-5-mm-33112425101002

I put a deposit on a d.m.h. watch a while ago, and need to pick the design and it should arrive late this year. The wait time for these is 4 years!

Markets gone flat on the Tintin

Maybe, maybe not, but I know of one that sold for USD7800 a few days ago. I suspect there is a lot of uncertainty in the market that’s not Rolex sports atm

You are probably right, Chrono 24 shows 9% fall over last month but still valuing at just over 6,000GBP.

$10,000 maybe. Not a chance of $100,000
This guy though..🍿

read back through this thread... I’m specifically referring to someone who repeatedly made that claim and I ripped him a new one.

These are nice watches. In late 2014/early 2015 I was looking at a TinTin at Jared for $3800 NIB as a "vault value", and my son talked me out of it. Then in May 2018 I was offered one NIB with stickers from Nima007 for $4200. But passed on it because I had other financial obligations, having just bought my POLMLE and Planet Ocean 9300, and seeking a Hulk and BLNR.

I didn't see their value going up above that of a POLMLE, which only had 1948 of them ever produced. Crazy, since thousands of these were made! Sure, it's a fun watch, and Omega should keep making them, but for some reason they stopped. I suspect that while in production they had many people pass them over for a proper Moonwatch, so the lack of demand caused the cancelation. And once they cancel something then everyone wants it. If I could go back in time and get one now for that $4K I might, but I didn't see it as worth it back then, and I don't see it as worth $6K now (for my own personal watch I mean).

The question is, would I ever sell my white Italian dial and black hand set and use the money to buy a TinTin dial? Maybe.
Would I trade my black dial Speedy or my Mitsukoshi dial Speedy for one? Not likely.
Would I give up my Speedy Tuesday Mk1 for it? Never.

Just caught mine from a grey in early 2016 for £2200, unworn sadly I passed on the Alaska for £2000... Oh well, the Tin Tin called to me and visually I was obviously more attracted to it. No regrets apart from the obvious and yes, I would of flipped the Alaska last year but I won't sell the Tin Tin
