Just the same way you can still order Gemini IV dial/hands/bezel, just need to have the right contacts ;-)

People do this sort of thing all the time. A friend of mine just ordered the 2004 Japan Racing Dial and Hands from an OB so he can take a regular old Speedy Pro and modify it to look like a Japan Racing model. I don't see a problem with it as long as everything is disclosed if it is sold.

Just getting caught up on this thread after being away from it for a bit. I noticed a few folks in the last two months stating they bought NOS Tintins and they came with the new 5-year warranty. If the AD is offering the 5-year warranty then these items would truly have to be NOS meaning they were never sold previously and have been literally sitting in inventory for all these years waiting on a buyer. Given all the hype of the Tintin over the past year I find that incredible. Can those few that got a NOS model share their story in some detail, please? Like where you bought it and if you paid retail, etc.?

Thanks!

You think that鈥檚 odd? A guy on TZ-UK who has some pretty impressive AD contacts bought a silver snoopy brand new within the past 2 months so presumably got a 5 year warranty on that. Rather makes a TinTin languishing at the back of an AD safe gathering dust look pretty ordinary.

Wow! I would think the seller would know a thing or two about watches and what is marketable and want to sell it or buy it themselves and then make a big profit on it. Just crazy to think these certified Omega sellers have no clue what they are holding in inventory.

Seems nuts, but people sometimes really don't know. Surprised from an AD though.

Thanks to all who are messaging me with movement numbers. The number collection is growing and once we hit 250 (not that far away now) then we have something to really work with. If you don't mind, can you supply full numbers by privately messaging me here on OF. Thanks to all who resent full numbers on the last shout out. Right now I have 180 movement numbers ranging from 77682xxx to 78786xxx

Edit: lowest number corrected 馃槜

I had a crazy idea yesterday ... Today I put it into motion. I鈥檓 going to pick up 2 TinTin鈥檚. And in 12 months flip the second for a ceramic Daytona. I鈥檓 that confident the demand will stay strong and value will go up and I figure a Rolex dealer or two would make that trade, thus avoiding the dreaded Rolex wait lists. It鈥檚 crazy... I know but I believe it will work out.

I鈥檓 very close on this plan. My extra TinTin will sit at the bank until I get the call on the Daytona. I expect within a year I鈥檒l flip the extra TinTin for a ceramic white dial Daytona. I think that鈥檚 the perfect pair Speedmaster TinTin+Ceramic Daytona.
