I just put $500 down on a NOS TinTin. $9500 is the price I paid. It’s local and I can now spend the next two months paying it off. I wasn’t willing to wait until these are over $10,000. Plus I’m fortunate that I can pay this one off slowly and it’s never been worn. Mint. I’m excited! Merry Christmas!

Guy who sold his tintin on ebay on the 20th for $6450 relisted and accepted a best offer of $6200:

One sold, several new ones listed. Now 5 tintins on ebay.

Hmm the one that just sold seems to only have the pictogram card and not the dealer card. Won't that count as an incomplete set? I tried searching and could only find 3 for sale on ebay. The ones on chrono are all pretty exorbitantly priced.

They sticking at £7k now, you can only get so much juice out of a lemon!

Unusual wrist presence but these should never be 3k more than a Speedy 60th which is a serious re creation piece with historical significance, daft!

We might be using different search parameters. I only see 3 listed in the USA, 2 international. And yes, I guess that wouldn't be a complete set since it's missing the original omega international warranty card. The dealer was watchmaxx, and I'm sure they took out the original card--as grey dealers tend to do. Looks complete otherwise. Condition sure looks good.

At this point, if I was really looking to get a tintin I think I would wait for a seller with best offers available. Eventually someone will bite in the high-$5k range.

Seems like interest might be beginning to wane.

How do you see that the accepted best offer is $6200? It is shown as $5000 to me.
Pretty sure that was starting price at auction with a BO as an option. Someone offered $6200 and got it. You can see the actual closing prices by checking completed listings instead of going to the listing itself.

I don't know, only 3 months ago they were selling in the $5k range (preowned), and now they're solidly in the $6k. I consider that a big improvement for such a short period of time. I wish the stocks I picked routinely did so well... then I'd have more watches!!!

It has been a bit of a feeding frenzy based on F.O.M.O.

It is not a piece that the general public found attractive visually at RRP but scarcity has driven the price up. If you are now buying to wear surely these prices are unrealistic when you consider what $9k can get you, if bought as an investment there must be limited upside potential currently. The runaway Silver Snoopy has distorted perceptions of what is possible or realistic imo.

It's not a piece the general public is yet aware its collectable. It is just starting to hit general notice, hence the flooding of sales you see at the moment.

Speaking to an OB just before Xmas, they get at least 1 call per day if they have a Tin Tin in stock.

The AD salesman in Orlando at the Mall of Millenia today called my Tin Tin a "Schumaker".....

https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/store/storedetails/7661

I tried politley to correct him....but he said I was wrong. Obviously, he knows best since he works at an Omega shop.....🙁
You mean an OB salesman, rather than AD... since you've linked to a boutique. I wouldn't be at all shocked if an AD salesman got that wrong... but for an OB to get that wrong and then double-down... Will give the benefit of the doubt and assume the rep didn't get a close look, or is color blind. The 3518.50 admittedly does look fairly similar to the tintin--from a distance!

I wonder if they are calling because they want to own one or flip one?
Flipping a BNIB with 5 year warranty would be something....
