Date is noted, I can also take pictures of the other Omega watches if somone here is interested to bid on them.
Racing dial speedy for example or the 2915-3.

I‘m not sure what’s going on with his estimates this time though. They tend to be on the high side, but not as extreme as this one ... arguably quite nice condition but 85-120k€ for a Seamaster 2913?! (Lot 70)

From the auction description it seems that the museum has been silly enough to verify it.

Just want to say I think that's a fantastic looking watch - I'd love to have one.

But as for this one on auction? What BS. A rhodium plated bridge in a copper colored movement? The chapter ring obviously sitting over the lume plots? I mean I don't hate this for what it is - I think it looks kind of cool, in a "fantasy speedmaster" kind of way. But to pretend that this is an actual Omega produced prototype is completely dishonest.

Someone send this thread to the auction house! Then when it turns out that its fake, the buyer can have a claim to sue them as they were made aware that they were selling something that is not Omega.

That's just plain wrong. Lucky it stayed a prototype

You mean about it being probably a fake prototype? I'm not sure - it could well be legit but it's just not very nice looking

The disparity in age and wear of the constituent parts, modern service dust cover, well worn bracelet and dial, new old stock condition case make for a bad start. The parts not really sitting well together make it worse, and the fact the case is from an identified source that is non Omega kills it.

Not probably. No extract, serial number way out of line for claimed era, and fonts on dial.

I contacted the Auction house for further information and I am relieved to hear that the Omega Museam have nothing to do with this watch or its provenance. A misleading description to say the least!

The above description suggests confirmed provenance and authenticity to me, but the auction house could provide none when asked

Wow they are claiming it’s been authenticated but have no proof. Wow. I’d point them to this thread.

Can't wait to put my green dialed 'hulk soleil' rolex collab protype speedmaster up for auction...I also got confirmation from both Omega and Rolex of its importance and prototype status, but no official document as the serial numbers for such important prototypes under top secret collaboration between arch enemies are understandably not on record...double the provenance, double the money. And it also comes with papers...
