Hey all, haven't posted in a bit, last year bought the new speedmaster which has been everything I hoped it would be. Just in the last week or so, I've been noticing overnight and even over extended periods during the day the hourly subdial at 6 is moving. I never visible see it move but it'll be at the 1 or even this morning was in the 2 position. Why would this all of a sudden start doing this, and is it worth the grueling process of sending it in for service. Clearly I can just reset the chronograph and it resets to 12 but it is rather annoying.

Disclaimer: I rarely run the chronograph, occasionally i fire it up just so all the mechanics in there can get some movement and then i reset it after 15-20 minutes.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Explained here w/regard to the 321, but also applicable to the 1861 & 3861.

Not a problem per se, but it means the spring is not adjusted properly, so it is not in spec. A warranty service will cover it, but it’s up to you if you want to spend the time to do that.

awesome that helps clear it up, I may just deal with it and whenever I bring it in for service have them clean that up, much appreciated

Thank you! Thinking I’ll just deal with it for the time being and whenever I finally pull the trigger to have it serviced I’ll have that fixed up
