Hi everyone.

I found this speedmaster broad arrow ref 3551.50.00 that look very nice.

The seller says it works fine and the watch was serviced recently.

So everything looks good but there's only ontle thing that looks a bit strange : the price. The seller is asking 1500 USD.

According to others ads I could see, it seems to be quite a bargain and maybe there's something wrong I'm missing and that your expert eyes could see...

Thank for your help and advices.

Berty.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Probably needs a service, and that adds to the cost, but since it's recent, you can get it serviced by Omega.

It's an automatic so will trade at a discount to a manual wind Speedmaster. Not a bad price, but figure in the cost of a cleaning in the overall cost.

That price IS suspiciously low. Prices on EBay, Chrono24 and other gray market dealers are $2-3000 more. I can see a seller pricing it low to get a quick sale, but that is REALLY low. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

I see two possibilities:

1. it’s a complete scam and you will never get a watch at all. Buy the seller not the watch.
2. There is a major issue with it that the buyer isn’t revealing. A service from Omega should fix this and you’d still be a bargain, but really vet the seller first.

only you can decide if you are comfortable with the risk.

good luck.
