Speedy - advice please

Hi Everyone

Long time lurker, first time poster. I need some advice if possible (I have the NTTD Seamaster). I want to add a Speedy to my collection and have noticed an auction nearby this week which has a Omega Speedmaster 35705000. My concern is the caseback is see through and also have the inscritpion ‘dark side of the moon’ which if I’m correct wouldn’t go with the watch.

The papers are 2008 - but looking the dark side didn’t start until 2013 and every model I’m seeing online with this reference has a closed case back. Any ideas if this is genuine? I’m not and expert on these things and was hoping to pick it up at a decent price

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This should be a manual wind Speedmaster, the transparent caseback shows a rotor.😗 also those subdials don't belong on a chronograph.

Watch is as fake as they come. Obvious from the dial pic — all 3 subdials are wrong (6 o’clock just mirrors the main time in 24 hour format)

Thank you for the advice I’m sorry I should have picked that up myself.
No need to be sorry. You were smart to check before pulling the trigger on a purchase that you would have later regretted.

FWIW, I messaged the auction house several days ago to let them know it’s a fake. Last I looked it is still up for auction.

Yeah, I saw that. I wonder if someone will turn up here next week asking about their new Speedmaster ::facepalm1::

Another example of why I like this forum, if people would just ask before purchase a lot of heartache could be eliminated.
Thank you for all who help educate me on my watch hobby.
