Speedy 861 “unadjusted”?

Every vintage Speedy 861 movement I have seen doesn’t have “unadjusted” engraved on the serial bridge. However recently I saw one that has a regular serial number (ie not preceded by a letter like “R”) but also has “unadjusted” inscribed on the serial bridge. What’s the significance if any?

There was a time when higher import duties were placed on watches being imported to the US which were adjusted, some manufacturers got around this by marking their movements as unadjusted. Perhaps this has to do with that type of issue.

Wouldn’t these have “OXG” inscribed on balance bridge if they were US bound? The example I saw didn’t have that.
