Hey friends - I’m thinking about buying an OEM 1171 bracelet for my speedy 1863. I know a lot of people like the 1171 bracelet. Any feedback on this set up? Any pics? Also is there is a material difference between the various generations of the 1171 bracelet? Thanks again all!

I'd consider picking up the Uncle Seiko 1171 first to see if you like it - significantly cheaper and (per reviews) an excellent equivalent. I have one and it's OK, but it was a bit too light for my tastes - especially with hollow end links. I find the 1450 to be significantly more comfortable with the flat inside and to feel better with the solid end links.

Thanks for this. The 1450 sounds awesome. Do you have the Uncle Seiko version?

I do, and it's a great bracelet. Everything feels solid and the clasp is nicely done. I ordered a genuine Omega clasp on eBay and swapped them out. Totally satisfied with it.

Maybe one thing to be considered with the new Omega 1171: I have a 16.5cm wrist and I am on the third hole of the micro adjustment. So it is maybe not the best choice for small wrists.

Thanks for this. I have a pretty large wrist so no issues there.

I love it. Do you know who large the taper is? Ie what’s the final width at the clasp in mm? I tried the new bracelet from the 3861 and I think it’s too much taper for me.

I like the idea of swapping clasps for an omega original. Are there certain models or years I should look for to make sure it fits?

    thanks for the help!

Uncle Seiko 1450 tapers to 16mm, just like the original. Not quite as much as the 3861 bracelet, which tapers to 15mm.

Thanks. Do you know if the 1171 bracelet tappers down to the same width?
