@Uncle Seiko

thank you, I really like your bracelets! It’s a nice option to have when original bracelets demand silly prices.

your bracelets do fit other omega models as well

Are there other differences than the width between the 19 and 20mm end links?

No, just the 1mm difference in width.

I wear my Uncle Seiko on my Tudor BB36. It is light and strong, the perfect companion.

Is there any plans to do a 1039 bracelet too where the bracelet widens to 20mm? The 1035 doesn't quite feel right for the Speedmaster Professional. Also, the 1168 oyster-style bracelet would be something unique!

It seems that many are happy with the ones they have, both those having the one from Uncle Seiko and also those having the JB Forstner one. Some may even have both.

I'm not sure why you're saying that.

Yes its great people are happy with these amazing bracelets.

It is a small detail, but the original 1035 bracelet was 19mm at the widest link, designed for the Ed White Speedmaster with the 19mm lug width. When Omega created the Speedmaster Professional, they released the 1039 bracelet which is 20mm at the widest link to suit the 20mm lug width.

The US 1035 bracelet is 19mm at the last link, which is perfect for FOIS. They supply a 20mm endlink to make it work for the standard Speedmaster, but the last link is still 19mm. Just hoping Uncle Seiko goes for a US1039 at some point.

This is also true of the US1171, the last link is 19mm rather the correct 20mm.

Thanks for all the reviews. After reading 35 pages ( and never liking the OEM modern 1861 bracelet) I ordered an all brushed flatlink.

Waiting anxiously for the 1450 to come out! 😀

Just threw myself a curve ball and threw my US Holzer on my Sinn 103. I bent the endlinks up to match the lug profile better (benefit of stamped Endlinks)- getting close, perhaps a few more tweaks.

The factory H-link is a brick- adds twice the weight to the watch and actually makes it cumbersome- I love how it looks but my god! Plus it’s only a 20-18 taper so looks like a cuff. This gives the 103 a much more “vintagey” look.
Still haven’t pulled the trigger on any of the 18mm US variants- I would want them for watches other than the Speedy reduced, so the endlinks would have to fit a variety of vintage pieces. Anyone tried the 18’s yet?

Not sure if you are including the Komfit, or just the newer bands. I'm wearing the 18mm Komfit with my Speedmaster coaxial. The narrow version looked ridiculous in my opinion (as I had posted), but I like the 18mm. It also saves a lot of weight (70g) over the original bracelet combined with 1154 adjustable clasp, 108 gram vs 180 gram.

Right, that's your opinion.

That's the fun of the Komfit, being narrow, that is (and it's 1mm wider than the original vintage ones) . And this is my opinion. ... 😀

Got my US1450 today, for those that care to know, the Omega eBay clasp discussed earlier in this thread for the US1171 fits perfectly. That said, the updated US1450 clasp is very nice, as are the SELs. Another knockout item from our favorite Uncle!

Got mine today as well, ordered this Omega clasp from eBay that should arrive Friday.

Question about putting the clasp assembly on. One end is obviously just a spring bar for the micro adjust, but the other end appears to be a solid metal pin pressed in, holding the clasp to a link. Can this just be pushed out with a pin pushing tool to install the new clasp?

Yes, same as removing the pins from the links. It’s a bigger pin, but simply presses in and out.

Sorry for the late reply.
1. The Mark IV 1162/173 can be found on both Etsy and EBay, it will fit all Uncle Seiko Speedmaster bracelets that taper to 16mm. They are genuine and include the whole clasp. Internal diameter is 16mm, external 17mm, length about 34mm. They are almost identical in size to the stock Uncke Seiko clasp covers. These really suit the US1711 bracelet very well.

2. The “Speedmaster 1171 Moonwalk deployment clasp” should be avoided. They are genuine but the internal width of the clasp cover is only 15mm. External diameter is 16mm. They are too small. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

3. The “Canada clasp cover” is a $20UD clasp cover only, which I believe, but cannot prove are non genuine but still of a pretty good standard

For me, the polished outer edge and brushed inner portion is very reminiscent of the clasp covers found on the old flat links and suit them very well, though they will fit most US bracelets that taper to 16mm .

I am assuming the Canada clasp cover does not work with the Fostner flat link ?

No, the clasp system is totally different unfortunately.

Hey guys, I am looking to produce a few bracelets for the Speedy to meet the high demand for alternatives. I just made the Beads of Rice bracelet and am looking to also make the classic Flat Link and maybe President style (1171?).

The problem is that I am mostly a Seiko guy and don't know a whole lot about Omega, other than I love my Speedy and wish I could venture more into the brand as a collector. I had some good feedback about my BOR but some complained that the clasp should have been different.

So, just gathering ideas at this point, I guess. If you have any thoughts as to what bracelet should be made, what kind of clasp, etc. feel free to share. While I know there are many purists out there, I am sure many would also like some alternatives.

unclepenn1 (aka UncleSeiko)

I would really like to see a all brushed oyster bracelet with a micro adjustable clasp on the 3861.
