In Philadelphia, it's worth 50 bucks.

On a side note, need to start visiting some pawn shops.

I’m debating between this and 310.30.42.50.01.002
Of course that one is new with papers box for 6200.00. Kinda going rate.

but the one here in question for
3k has an attractive price.

what is the real difference between them. Both have sapphire sandwich from what I can tell.

Different movements, but visually the major difference is going to be in the dials. I own one much like what you pictured and love it.

310.30.42.50.01.002 vs 311:
13.2mm thick vs 13.5mm thick
47.5mm lug to lug vs 48.2mm
Co-axial 3861 movement (METAS) vs 1863 (COSC)
Hacking seconds vs back-hacking seconds
chrono hand
Dial is stepped
Subregisters deeper
Applied Omega logo vs painted
Text differences; hash mark differences between seconds
Quick adj. Bracelet vs micro
Female Center link vs male center link

They both have a sapphire sandwich. This seems like a lot of differences but most of them are not something the average person is going to notice. Something worth considering is that currently it is difficult to get anyone to service a coaxial movement other than Omega, and Omega service is $900USD. Meanwhile, service for the 1861/1863 is about half that..

1863 is not COSC certified, as evidenced by me buying a couple back in the days and they were all in the +11 s/d range

Thank you for the correction. I'd forgotten.

It can be regulated pretty accurately - mine runs around +/-2sec/day.

When I first looked at the pictures I thought it must have been older - maybe a pretty beaten up 3573.50. But it’s clearly a 311.30.42.30.01.006 that somebody managed to beat up in a relatively short time.

To the OP … if you’re OK the scratches and general condition, $3k is a decent price IMO. You’ll probably need to get it serviced, but that’s going to be true of the majority of Speedmasters you’ll find in this price range.

The one in that add says it’s a 005 for the model. But those are def the pictures I was sent. Might have been crises averted here on a “pawn shop” from offer up.

I’m staying away from both the add and the eBay listing. To many questions now.
