Hi,

Had it for just over two and a half weeks but only in the last two days I've noticed it the hour chrono calculates an hour when in reality its been 55 mins.

After the searching I've done, it seems it's by design - can people here confirm?

Surprised (to say the least) I've dropped seven and a half big ones on a famous Chronometer that by design doesn't properly keep sync with the minute chrono.

Cheers.

Results are in. I tested on both the 1866 and 3861 movement. As expected, the hour Chrono hand moved very close to the mark at the 49-50 minute mark.

However, it was pretty spot on once it hit an hour. It looks like the 3861 is a little past the hour mark though. I also used my phone's timer and the minute chrono was pretty spot on.

Ironically - I've noticed that at the half hour mark on the hour chrono (even though there isn't a half marker) it logically lines up.

Can it be cleareded up that the Speesmaster has never been able to correctly map an hour?

Well, actually is a famous chronograph, wich in its newest caliber has the Metas Master Chronometer certification. Second, being a chronograph with a 30 minute subdial, the only important function of the hour subdial is to tell if you are in the first half of an hour or the second one. And that, by design, is succesfully done.

What?

I know its has Master Chronometer.

So we can all agree its by design and not a misalignment that a lot of people might think it is?

I'm sure you know, I mean the speedmaster became famous being "only" a chronograph.
To do a better diagnose of your problem, you can start the chronograph and take a picture with your phone every time the minute marker reaches the 30 min marker, just to see the hour hand's behaviour as the hours pass. Regards.

I'm happy it seems by design because of other people's pics I've compared with.

You don't need help. Probably don't deserve it. Bye bye.

That`s good to hear Hoss, I just feel awful for making that remark after you sat watching your chronograph hands for an hour, makes all my worries seem like first world problems.
