I normally burst in all exited, "Amy what do you think of my new watch. It's a 60's..........". "Yeah it's nice, looks the same as your others though, why don't you get a different one?!"

Ah, so many men, so misunderstood.

It makes me smile that we all have the same sorts of experiences. It seems not just with watches, but all the "things" that I like are often met with a very slightly elevated left eyebrow. Don't get me wrong, it is a great relationship , but just goes to show how the minds work differently.

Now I am making a certain level of assumption here, that most of the posters and readers of this site are male, but happy to be corrected

My wife just calls them silly clocks and if I am reading this she asks if I am reading the silly clock thingy. If she spots me looking at the for sale section she says I only need one clock why do I want another one...I love her to bits but when it comes to watches, she can be a silly clock herself.
