Speedmaster DON bezel values

Hi everyone,
I have been offered a couple of vintage Speedmaster DON bezels and wondering what value they have and which is the more desired, a ghost bezel or cleaner version.
I have attached some photos of them here and would be great to hear your views and honest values of them now.
Thanks

That first one does not look like a complete bezel, it's like someone pried the insert out of the actual bezel. Pretty much ruined it.

Regarding prices, eBay is a good way to determine real-world market value. Use the advanced search feature to find actual sales, not asking prices. Faded bezels don't usually command a premium IMO.

Thanks Dan,
Yes the blacker one is the insert only. In fact its only the insert for both, the bezel ring is not being included but has been photographed with it. So it's really the values and desirability of both as inserts only.
Thanks very much.

Inserts are not removable from bezels for Speedmasters. These are not Rolex bezels.

Two good ballpark references here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-ghie...838845?hash=item59629236fd:g:DJsAAOSw4dNf1Qz3

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-OE...104624?hash=item2afd0cdb30:g:eXgAAOSw7elf58e7

There is a third with a much higher price under sold listings but its a best offer so you dont know what the final number was

Interesting, I also found a few more. I have the impression that prices have dropped significantly on these. Makes me feel pretty stupid for prices I paid a few years ago on one or two of these. 😟

As you probably know, if you sort by price sold, the best offer sales will be sorted into place by the actual (hidden) sales price, so you can often get a pretty good sense of the sale price by bracketing it above and below.

Thanks for the replies.
If you had to choose between the 2 bezel inserts in the above photos which would you choose? I'm not concerned about the bezel ring itself, just the inserts.
Thanks.

Prices are a bit erratic, and off from the highs of “bezelmania” a few years ago. I auctioned two a few weeks ago and the nicer one went for less than the other.

For the OP example (complete one) ~US$500 would,be my take, with a deviation of 20% either way possible. Those photos are awful.

Is it me or have prices for Speedies in general come down a bit in the last 6 to 8 months?
