Confirmation on Genuine DON bezel 145.022 68St

Hello everybody. Recently new to this forum and plan on spending a lot of time here as I have a fascination with Vintage Speedmasters and find myself continuously running into them. Recently purchased a transitional 27.7MIllion 145.022 68ST with what I believe is the correct step dial, bracelet, end links, hands and potentially DON bezel. My concern is that I’ve been looking at the how to spot a counterfeit DON bezel and may have psyched myself out. Want to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

We need good bezel photos to give you opinions. Shoot a few macros concentrating on 140-170 area and the 100-140. Font must be in focus.

Seems like a nice honest looking watch which is a good sign. The watch seems coherent, all of the parts seem to fit well together.. unlike some dealer prepped watches.

That main gasket looks torched, I would think a service is needed asap.

Those more knowledgeable than me will chime in on the bezel but I think it’s also a good sign that it’s dented in a few spots in the same place as the bezel ring.. tough to fake that.

Pretty solid. Thank you, seemed like an honest watch aswell but can never be too careful. Appreciate the input and knowledge.

I dont see any fault on the bezel, but please wait for more experienced members to join in. An attractive watch so congratulations !

Looks genuine to me. I find that even the highest quality aftermarket DON’s seem to get the subtle sizing and positioning of the numbers off. They are always a bit too small, to avoid clipping or touching the side of the bezel (that’s what I can’t stand about the Ed White remake) but the real ones seem to go right up to the edges like yours. Serifs look perfectly imperfect too - it’s a really nice bezel
