Hoping a member can shed some light or clarify for me The inside of my omega speedmaster case is stamped ST105.003-65 and the movement serial no is 22083356 which based on reading forum threads and Speedmaster 101 puts the dating of the watch as 1964 I think. I am probably missing something so appreciate thoughts in advance Sorry about the photos. Best I have

That does seem slightly early for a -65.

Can you upload some photos, of the movement and caseback but also on the front of the case and lugs.

As above, ILMS suggests May 1965 for that serial which is too early for the model. Maybe you have misread a digit or transposed some, 22m is OK for a -65 but not that low a number. The earliest seem to start at 22.82m and those in fact date to early 1966. My own is on 22.827m and is extracted to April '66.

Hi there, as we discussed, i agree with my friends here. The serial seems a bit too early for a-65.

The pictures of your watch made me think at the first place that you had a -63 or -64 (because of the no bevel -if i am not mistaking about the 63). And then the serial known, it suggests a -64.

i hope you don’t mind i upload here your pictures. Cheers.

It’s hard to tell from those pictures you may have a -64 with a replaced caseback.
The reason I asked for a picture of the lugs is because the —64 and -65 have slightly different lug profiles. The former with no facet and the latter with.

Yep. Those don't look like -65 lugs, no bevel.

Apologize. I had confirmed previously the lugs are wrong. Believed they were replaced somewhere I. The history of the watch pre me

So if the lugs/case is wrong for a 65 and the movement is wrong for a 65, maybe your watch isn’t a 65.

Frol what I can see the most obvious answer is you have a -64 with a replaced case back.

I was typing and occupied when i responded. The pushers crown and hands are wrong several folk have identified that. With the inputs I will guess its a 64 and leave it at that with the wrong case back
