Overall, I couldn't be happier. I'm not an impulse buyer of something as personal as a watch and this particular one has brought a smile to my face every time I look at it. I've been wearing it all day from the moment I step out in the morning to when I'm about to go to sleep. There are other watches including a ceramic sub lying around, but I honestly don't want to wear anything else right now.

Here is a picture from the 5th that I liked.

good looking Speedy! is never too early for anyone to start working their Christmas wish list... 馃槈

I love the watch, but am I the only one who hates mixed polished/brushed bracelets? I've got a Zenith with the same "issue" that I'm planning on brushing out entirely. I'm curious how it would look on this watch though... Any new owners want to give this a try?

No you're not alone. I brushed the bracelet on the SM300 after owning it for a few days.

This was a picture from WRUW from last week (I'll take more!) I sold the PO 8500 in my avatar for the '57 Speedy. I'm pleasantly surprised by the proportions, it is definitely less bulky than a 42mm PO 8500.

Didn't expect to see this thread again.

Anyway, not sure if I've posted this before, but here is a random group shot.

The straps are aftermarket from Ebay. They are made to Omega OEM specs and fit the OEM deployment perfectly.

The black and the brown seem to be a bit nicer in terms of quality, but the tan isn't much worse. All three look and feel great.

Each is less than $30 and for that price I think they are amazing.

Beautiful watch.

Do you happen to have a link or more info on the eBay seller that sells those straps? They look great.
