Hi folks,

does anybody own a 3594.50 and if so, what feedback can you give me regarding ownership?
I'm undecided on buying one of these or the later '57 Broad Arrow re-issue, so interested in the general view of the 3594.50 amongst the Speedmaster owning community - is it an underrated gem or maybe one to be forgotten?

Cheers

Hey, did you see this recent article and thread? https://omegaforums.net/threads/min...a-speedmaster-’57-broad-arrow-3594-50.153090/

I have one and like it quite a lot. Are you comparing it to the 'Trilogy' version, or to a different broad arrow model?

My quick thoughts:

Pro:
- more affordable / good value
- modern lume / no faux aged lume (the Lume on the trilogy doesn't bother me, but some people don't like the color)
- I like the slightly grey dial and steel bezel

Con:
- older movement compared to current offerings
- not as precise a re-edition as the Trilogy model.

Hi,

Thanks for the link - yes, I was referring to the trilogy version, but I’m unsure about the faux lume on the newer one.

People complain about the lume on the Trilogy because it only looks 60 years old, but the rest of the watch is pretty close to the original. The 3594.50 is a totally made up watch (a factory Franken) from an era where Omega was just doing 'stuff' without much thought to originality, even naming it 'Replica'. There is nothing wrong with the watch, so if you like the dial, hands and steel bezel on an incorrect case style, go for it. It's cheaper, sure, but that is only one factor, it shouldn't be the deciding one. IMO the fauxtina thing is way overblown, but it's a deal breaker for some. If that's you, just move on.

Hello, just wondering - does anybody know the launch retail price in € of the 3594.50, when it was launched back in 1997?

Love mine. I purchased it when no one really cared about them back in the early 2010s. Got it for just over $1000 and got some money back from the seller when it arrived broken. I looked at it as a cheap modern (sort of, at the time) Speedmaster that sated me while my ref. 145-022-69 ST Speedmaster was in the shop. I thought someday I'd modify it but Omega cracked down on private parts sales and it grew on me in the meantime. I had it serviced and repaired by Archer and it runs perfect. Here it is on a ref. 1479/812 bracelet.

I like the style of the 3594.50,

BUT I don t like the style of the bracelet. I would like to see the watch on a (Staib)- Mesh!

Dear experts,

Do you know if a bracelet from modern Speedmaster 57 (332.10.41.51.01.001) would fit to 35945000? Both are 20mm.

This bracelet is sooo good. It would be perfect to pair with the "Replica".

Anybody?

Thank you in advance.

Probably not. Or at least not very well unless you change the end links. The core case size is different (the 57 is slightly bigger) meaning the curvature between the lugs is different.

It's a nice watch to own at the right price with the AML etc.
The hands can corrode and legibility is an issue in general when no light reflects off them.
It's tone on tone with the bezel, grey dial and hands.

Hy !
I've had one for a few years . Bought for peanuts in 2014. I was lookin for a Speedmaster with "a different look" . I fell in love with the boad arrow hands and the solid steel bezel !
I sold in November 22 to reduce my stock and avoid a divorce 😀 but I frankly repent. In the range of the Speeds , mounting a 1861 movement, I think it's a piece to have

Hmmm, which of two options do you regeret now.... reducing stock including Replica or divorce 😀

PS - i still think when it comes as far as divorce, you made the smart decision. Still its a very interesting and good looking watch!
