The seller was remarkably unresponsive to many who were asking for additional photos, the seller claimed that although he worked in “47th st” he didn’t have the watch to hand and could not provide any more photos. He also blocked me when I offered to visit.
The IG account with same name has not been active since 2023. The eBay account is hacked.
All the other items for sale were varied watches, and some unrelated jewelry. Photos had no commonality, in other words taken by different people and different places. Unlike the feed back on previous sales which was strangely similar.
Pretty sure right now the “seller” will be making some second chance offers - which I think is the purpose of the whole exercise - to get the bidders details, to contact them with an offer that is too good to pass, but oh dear, it’s Christmas so you must do wire transfer, or maybe he has a few compromised PayPal accounts.
If all goes according to plan, he will get three or four people, who lose their minds thinking they can buy a 50,000 watch for under 15,000.
There is no such thing as a real cheap 2915 on eBay. Even with a market downturn all collectors were on the ready for this, and each of us spotted the scam.
