Hey everyone,

Just wondering if I can get some advice on this speedmaster please?

It's a little out of my knowledge these earlier references and obviously more expensive than what I normally purchase!

Oval O looks correct and small minute track looking in a few references.

I just don't know about the bezel and they're a bit of a minefield in general.

Thanks!

Ps. I don't own this, and I'm probably not going to have a chance to make an offer, but was sent the photos and would like gain some more knowledge on these earlier speedies.

I'm certainly far from an expert on these but I can point out that the chrono seconds counter hand seems off. The shape looks correct but it was likely painted for better visibility.

You would need better hi res pictures of the bezel to verify its originality.

Shouldn't be a problem stripping the red paint off the Chrono hand.
Other than that, looks OK.

The movement looks like a rainbow with the different bridges.

what is the hour hand hiding?

Not with these pictures. Need the following: outside caseback bevel stamping. Inside caseback straight from above, no angle. Confirmation, if the movement ring holes have openings for the pusher levers or the movement side levers for that are in closed holes. On the moment it looks open.... The complete circumfence of the bezel in non glaring light. Tachy base 1000 close up. So far, I don't like the spacing of the letters and what appears to be different heights of the letters.

Difficult to see with those pictures but just to consider - doesn't the hour hand too thick in body? It's a bit difficult to see line between steel and lume material but that was my impresson at first.
