The 1861 Hesalite and Sapphire Sandwich on bracelet are NOT available right now on the US website. But you can get them on the leather strap. I suspect they will all be gone relatively shortly from the Omega pipeline. Anyone keen on getting a new 1861 needs to get on their horse and make a decision. I don't think dealers need to make any grand discounts on the remaining 1861's, they will sell themselves when the become extremely hard to find. Human nature makes us want things that are no longer available.
Well that went fast. I think it was still in my shopping cart as of earlier this week.

Yep. I have a colleague who has had a tough time finding either option on bracelet, has been ringing various Canadian ADs and the OB. Definitely getting thin on the ground, as is the FOIS.

Well I’ll have a chance to pick one up tmrw. Either hesalite or sapphire. Can’t decide if I should or not. Just don’t want to get caught up in the hype.

The AD I went to said he has 10 1861 hesalites so I have time to decide. He’s not interested in discounting at all. I finally got to see the difference between a sapphire and hesalite. Prefer the hesalite for sure.

He then pulled out a hesalite sandwich from the late 90s early 2000s. No box or papers. $5250. Looks amazing. Didn’t take pictures but wonder if it’s overpriced? They would include a 2yr warranty.

Maybe this is an option you could contemplate;

The price point for the new 3861 will drive the price up for all Speedmasters. Once all the 1861's have been sold from AD's the only options available will be a new 3861 or buying from owners. Given this dynamic surely the 1861 will increase in value comparatively?

So far Chrono24 prices have crept up in the last couple of months but as most on here have said, there will probably some market correction once the 3861 becomes more readily available.
