It was a lot - 8,800CHF I think. If that mark is just from the crystal and not actually dial damage, seems like an amazing example.

Edit: sounds like the 8,800CHF is wrong. It was less but still quite a premium.
8800chf is surely not a premium for a good transitional. I think it’s very cheap.
I would sell mine but it would be MUCH more.

Agree with this. Finding a 68 with beautiful patina in good condition is hard. I wouldn’t sell mine for that price either.

Yeah, you missed out on a few...

WOW. Where and how did you find that? There are so many incredible examples with collectors that never seem to come up for sale. Congrats.

If you want to prise a great watch out of someone’s collection you often need to reach out and make a strong offer. There are several watches I haven’t listed for sale over the years but have sold after someone contacted me, explained why they wanted it and made me a (very) good offer.

I bought mine in a small auction a few years back and paid more than I wanted too... isn't that always the case. But, it is almost NOS and came with the original box, papers and all the links of the bracelet. It would be hard to find another...

Hope you find what you are looking for... they are out there.

Yep that view count is a little embarassing. 😟
It was @pdxleaf example.
He has a nice thread about it from when he got it at auction late last year.

Note that it's on a leather strap because the 1039 bracelet has all its links and is too long to wear until adjusted.

Apsm100 needs to share his beautiful 145.022-69. He's been holding out on us.

I knew it!
Dave has a wonderful story that goes with the watch,
and I did see a "tell" on the watch (now your beautiful watch!!) that I remembered...

Congrats!!

I noticed the dial looked a bit dark brownish when I was out in the sun today. Not sure if that's how they came from the factory and I am just seeing some wear.

Am I hallucinating or is the dial beginning to fade brown? 🤨
