Currently 220’s carry little added value. I personally think they are under valued considering the rarity but the market has spoken. The new hands hurt it’s value though.

7k seems more then fair for the 69 DON. I’m not a fan of the lume mismatch but that’s not a terribly hard or pricy thing to fix by finding good 145.022 hands with a less yellow lume.

Given the average case, incorrect crown, loss of lume and replacement hands, 7k US is too much for the 220.

The DoN watch is a class above and 7k is reasonable.

Hello all,

After a lot of research and looking through many listings, I'm very close to pulling the plug on a Speedmaster 145.022 and have narrowed down my search to two pieces.
Pull the trigger? Or are you going to buy one and then get rid of it?

(sorry, just having a little fun. In my own mind...) 😉

Quick update: Just finalized the transaction and went with the DON option. I ended up paying $6500 (before taxes). Thanks to all for useful feedback and comments.

I think you got a nice watch at a fair price.

Ditto if this came form a dealer I think the price seems very fair.
