Hi mates, I have another question. I'm looking for information about the original 105.012 crown reference.
Does anyone have a photo of it ? The dimensions ? Someone told me the ref. is called "A2" but I never find anything about it...Many thanks fellows !

"A1" is the right one for ref 105.012, per MWO as shown in the other thread.

I don't really know what I'm talking about mate... But... I took my 105.012-65 into Swiss Time Services UK. The watch was Assessed and the recommendation made by Simon Freese.

This 24 tooth original 1960's 24 tooth crown was fitted to replace the incorrect service crown that had been fitted when my Dad had it serviced in the early 1970's.

And a couple more shots of the 1960's 24 tooth crown fitted by Swiss Time Services.

And a section from the STS service letter stating that this is the correct crown for this reference.

As I said I don't know what I'm talking about, but with regard to the above info, we are talking STS UK and Simon Freese. I don't think it gets any better than that mate!:)

Hello @Seacow...(as you can see from the excerpt from the STS letter) unfortunately, it's possible that they haven't!:(

I've just had a look at my Swiss Time Services paperwork @athom, and I don't think they charged me for that 1960's 24 tooth crown.::confused2:: I think they 'through it in' as part of the service.:) They are very nice down at STS.;)

I wrote STS and they don't have any A1 crown anymore, I want to create a thread on the WTB but I can't...Does someone know why?

    Hello,
On eBay there's one to sell for $299... Don't know if it's a real one...

This is the kind of stuff that worries me about my 145.012. I wear it on a daily basis, but I’m getting worried that, as time goes by, it’ll be harder and more expensive to find replacement parts. On the other hand, I’m having a hard time not wearing the watch.

Just develop good habits around keeping your wrist out of the way of obstacles. It might help to buy the cheapest, largest watch you can find and wear it around the house, until moving your wrist out of the way going through doors or walking near walls etc becomes second nature. My first watch was a TAG Monaco which is approx. 3 stories tall, and I learned quick!

Thanks, it’s good advice. Guess second issue is wear and tear.

Think of it this way, might as well wear now while parts are still around. It would be unfortunate to want to wear it in 10 years and find no parts whatsoever. :D
