So much nicer than the 145.022-68 you were looking at! This is a very nice daily wearer, as you said you wanted. And to find an original owner is hard to top.

Movement picture seems to validate service history. Pretty clean and unmarred.

It certainly looks like it was tucked away. It'll clean up nicely.

So you live in a land with Speedys tucked away in drawers? Time for a visit!

Well done and Congrats.

EDIT: if your wife can tell the difference between this Speedmaster and your others, much respect to her. She's on her way to becoming a Speedmaster fan 😉

Thanks for your input - and you know that you are always welcome to Sweden!
We can do drawershunting and beerchasing!

And regarding my wife, she has learned that nodding to my nerdy explanations about this and that on a Speedy is the safe way out!
🙄

Take care!

As you wrote, the best part of vintage watch collecting is the time spent in research. The thrill you have when you find something like your Speedmaster is uncountable 😀
PS your 105.012 is stunning!!!

Exactly the feeling I had (and still have), you put down a lot of research, and I do learn a lot down the road!
And this time, it led to a new purchase!😀

And thanks for the comment!

Congrats! Great looking watch. I love the look of the long indices and flat link bracelet. I’ve enjoyed following your posts and learned a bit myself from them so thank you as well.

While not a “senior” by OF standards (yes in terms of age, no in experience) I add best wishes and congrats this is watch I’m slowly searching and hope to do as well as you!!

Well thank you x 2!
Both on the comments regarding the watch, and also about my posts!
I sometimes wonder if some people think I have lost it...spending endless and endless time over watches and the hunt for them...😉

Cheers!

@Seaborg - thanks for your lovely reply! During the research on this one, it was a bit exciting! I wasn't really sure about it at first glance,
and during research, I liked the watch more and more (and more....).
And then I just had to have it! 😉

@SOG53, my Dad calls me Junior sometimes, and I am 56 years old...😉
And I think that in this forum, its gonna take years before anybody thinks of me (and maybe you...) as a Senior?
And thanks for your comment and good luck with your search!

Beautiful!
Would it be really, really, rude to ask how much you paid....assuming of course that the wife doesn't follow your threads?😉

@Dug - thanks!

And regarding what I paid... I think I will go with the first and second rules of Fight Club? 😉😉

Erhhmm... those who don't know:

The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO NOT talk about Fight Club!

And my lovely wife is clueless!!😗😗

Have a good holiday!!
