The Seamaster Trilogy would be my choice for looks and size, I prefer its smaller 39mm width.

The new heritage Seamaster 300 has the lollipop hand. Here's a comparison of the three (not exactly the same scale). The looks of the Spectre win for me, but just slightly. If one isn't a Bond fan, either the old version or new will do quite nicely.
You know how dangerous this post is on making me go and find the Spectre!

The Spectre is offered for around ten thousand last I looked. Who would have know!
Good to see the three of them side by side. I still like it in blue though.

Might be a silly question since I really love the Spectre. But I'm wondering if anyone has put the lollipop hand available in the current lineup on the 300 1957 Trilogy edition? Not sure if its possible without a dealer account but that would be pretty ideal for me.

I think there'd be a length issue - lollipop off the 300 Heritage (possibly a larger dial than the '57 Trilogy dial) ~ could potentially be a longer hand. Additionally, fauxtina color matching issues between the two.

Thanks. Will allow me to get that crazy idea out of my head 😉

To be clear, my reply is based on "speculation" and not Fact.

I bought the Spectre a few years ago--unfortunately it had a ding that wasn't disclosed so I let it go back to the seller. My impression was that it's a lovely watch. I don't think there's anything much more charming about it than the lollipop Seamasters that were subsequently released. If you want the box/007 presentation then I would say go for it; however, if you want a steel bracelet get one of the Seamaster lollipop editions.

To combine a couple of ideas on this thread, I wonder if anyone has worn the 1957 Trilogy version while diving?

I have the 300 Heritage and while I love much about it I have to begrudgingly admit -- it's a touch too large for me and I have a difficult time with legibility (to the degree when I wear it I find myself infinitely checking to see if there is some very thin, still unpeeled, sticker on the crystal, there isn't).
My '57 300 remains my favorite Omega diver. It's perfect.

Which Heritage do you have, old or new?

I have a similar pairing:

I have the '57 Trilogy Seamaster and the lollipop 300 Heritage sandwich dial... my legibility issues are with the 300 Heritage.

I don't dive, except dumpsters while out bikepacking, but I do have a buddy in SoCal that dives regularly with his '57 Trilogy. He loves it and uses it as it was intended.

@SC1 I’m considering getting a 300 heritage, can you please tell me what issues you are having? Thank you.

Besides size (just wears big for me, 38/39 being my sweet spot for my wrist, but that's a Me problem) I find it, black dial version, to be incredibly illegible indoors (outside is better but not great either).
As I stated in either this thread or another, when I wear it I instinctively find myself wanting to check (again and again) to see if there is a sticker on the crystal that I didn't remove.
Otherwise: lume, movement, bracelet, all of it are amazing.

I'd love to see some pics of the Trilogy on a dive, if they're out there. Very cool.

I'll ask him to take some... he's a not a big watch/photo taker kinda fella (just loves the watch and uses it) but I'll try and see.

...I really hate this thread, because I didn't jump on the Spectre when it came out and have always regretted it. There is something about the watch that really sings. As a bigger guy w/o very big wrists, the long lugs are unfortunate and I'm glad they corrected that in the more thoughtful case design of the current edition.

Yet... I keep coming back to the Spectre and have no idea why....hanging out on Chrono24 thinking about a mint one w/o big $$$$.......
