First time I have seen such a symbol on Omega vintage watch, any one can help as never seen before, it's a bumper caliber 332. Thanks again to all members

Personally I believe it is unoriginal and was stuck on at some point replacing whatever was there originally.

I agree, probably done when it was being re-dialed.

If you Google Omega watch trident, you will find numerous vintage Omega wrist watches with the trident on the HOUR hand, but not on the dial. The trident is synonymous with Poseidon, Greek God of the Sea (as in Seamaster)l, or Neptune. So if it is out of place on this dial, it is certainly apropos, in my view.

It could have been a service watch for a company that used the trident as its company logo

Service watches almost always had a chrono complication, otherwise no reason to issue a watch. I can also count on one hand the companies known to have done that.

for the record I was not involved in that S show. Also note even the illustrious Meganfox is in that thread.
Def a OF classic

You were the first reply, so definitely involved. Maybe only in a "virtual" sense?

I remember it though.

I think I rated it No3 after the JR Pippen redial saga (No 1) and the one with the OP with an Irish sounding name (No2).

I can't be bothered going through 7 pages, did I have anything constructive/intelligent/helpful/sarcastic/stupid to say?

Maybe I misunderstand what is meant by "service watch", but do you mean that watches that are given to employees in certain jobs where a watch is needed?

That’s what I’m thinking. The BBC did this for example.
Unless he means watches given out as gifts after x years of service. Which would have inscriptions. I call those anniversary watches or retirement watches.

Thanks for all your inputs , my watchmaker remove the dial and as some of you said it’s redialed , so I guess some one had a wish and add a trident on the dial
