They’re interesting but I’m not sure about that last one and a couple of the others are refinished or re-cased

This.

that last one was most likely locally modified and not done at Omega. The first from the pictures appears to be refinished.

the Saudi enamel is actually interesting though.

The extreme left watch dial’s lettering has been redial by the previous owners.

I think it’s made for some oil company?

Some of you might hate this Omega made for North Korean Dictator Kim II Sung… please pardon me as I merely collect watches and it does not mean that I endorsed the dictator and I take this forum as a platform for sharing information and hobbies..

Moreover, I have no intention of selling any watches here …

interesting date in Korean

Most of these were diplomatic gifts.
Switzerland has a long tradition of such thing going back as far as Queen Elizabeth the first. Often two were made in case one was lost.

All but the 2 Olympics were aftermarket modifications. Even the North Korea was not done by Omega.

What an unnecessary and rude comment. If you don't have anything useful or nice to day why not just move along?

To me, 'less is more' is the credo I roll with. It's always cleaner. Never been one for a theme anything either. Cars, watches, etc.. It just always seems to cheapen any product.

“Many western watch collectors will scream fake upon seeing [it] in a forum.

[…]

The thing about vintage watch is that in the earlier days, there were many variations and perhaps by having an open mind, one could see more things.”

You wrote this in your blog, referring to the responses you got on Omegaforums to this watch:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-omega-constellation-168-005.155619/

And you got similarly skeptical replies here. The thing is: I’m all for having an open mind, but when someone tries to pay me with a 7$-bill I’ll ask questions.

You could always apply for an Extract from Omega, of course, and see what happens.

The last one is the only one I somehow like, even if I wouldn’t probably wear it.

I don’t care if they are ugly, I find it fascinating to see unusual things like this - thank you

ugly/pretty isn’t the point here.

great to see other collections and habits of other watch obsessed people.
