Space Compax MK1 Case -- Polished or Brushed or ... ???

Turning to the experts here for help please. I am trying to determine what is "correct appearance" for a Space Compax Mk1 case. I have spent time here on the site and on the interwebs (and in the sala book) trying to get an answer, but I haven't come upon anything "definitive"

Specifically, I am trying to determine -- should the top of the lugs be brushed and the sides of the case polished? Or, should the the lugs and sides of the case have a brushed look?

I have seen both, but I do not know which is correct, or maybe they both are? I have posted photos -- first two have brushed lug tops / polished sides. Second two photos the whole case appears to have a more brushed look.

I understand it's quite possible that the watch in the first two photos was heavily polished by a dealer / watchmaker / whoever to clean it up. However, I'm still not sure how these examples are supposed to look as if they came from factory, so to speak

Thanks in advance for any insight. Much appreciated

I used to own 2 and both were brushed. I'm inclined to think that it's the original finishing

Agree. None of the original finish of this case is polished.

So the example in the first two photos is as I suspected, overly and incorrectly polished.

However the the example in the third and fourth photos, while in need of some TLC/ repair, is likely the original finish

Many thanks.

If others have info and or/opinions please chime in
