Hi folks,
I am looking for a few original links for an Omega Seamaster. This was my father’s that I was gifted. I would appreciate and help that would lead me in the right direction!
Gratefully & respectfully,
Jason

To search for the links, you want to identify the reference number of the bracelet. Look in the clasp for any stamps, like 1037 or something like that.

Hi Dan, thank you.
I have the piece at a watchmaker’s right now. I will try to connect with him to retrieve this information.

Besides the reference number of the bracelet, have your watchmaker measure the width of the bracelets removable links. Not anywhere else; it needs to be the removable links he measures. There are slight variances. It’s just a millimeter of possibly a fraction of one, but it won’t look right if you get it wrong.

Once you know the exact size you need, the search still won’t be easy. I do have a couple of spare links here, feel free to drop me a PM.

That being said, the easier way might be to count the number of total links in your bracelet and look for a spare one with sufficient extra links to fit your wrist, then simply sell the bracelet you currently have. Might even be cheaper if all works well.

True, those bracelets are always available on eBay. Buying a long one and selling a short one would be easy. And you could even keep the existing end-links if the bracelet you buy has a different pair.

However, if the bracelet is already long, and the OP just has a giant wrist, then it's back to the spare link approach.

Please do update the thread with the bracelet reference number. As a member of the scrawny wrist club, I have spare links for several BoR bracelets that aren't doing me any good, and I'd be happy to send them to you.

Mates -
I just found my grandfather's original 1957 Seamaster with the sliding clasp and beads of rice bracelet. Believe it or not, I found it in a box of junk in my father's house. No one has worn it in 40 years and it still keeps time.

I am getting it refurbished by Omega but I need a few links to proudly wear this piece of history.

Any ideas where I can purchase?

Thanks - JDM

Is the last link sitting in the last hole of the buckle? Looks like 3 holes in yours.

Can't recall if different buckles had different number of holes

Hi
you should start your own thread rather than adding on to another- for best results.
On your new thread be sure to take good pictures of the watch front and caseback- including any endlink numbers
Also photo of inside bracelet clasp as there may be identifying numbers there. And detailed closeup photos of the bracelet
Otherwise nobaody and help you.

I’d honestly just start browsing eBay for the same bracelet with spare links in it. I think that’s would be the easiest way to source them. Could get expensive mind depending on how many links you need.

I’ve often found Japan a great source for bracelets
