Now "Auf dem Weg" though! 🍿 Look forward to seeing it!
Good for you!

Those import duties and witholding products for weeks - because of administration - just feels like this...

I recently bought a part from a Polish seller on ebay. The tracking has said with Polish office since 24th jan with no further updates until it was delivered today.

Its not quite apples to apples as it was very low value (£7) and no one has chased me for import duties which now always happens for larger purchases like watches.

Same problem here. Bought in UK and my watch arrived in the Netherlands on 23 December and is still held by the Dutch customs . After a month i called and i was told it probably would arrive before mid February. Grrrrrrrr……..

Can we draw any conclusions from what it is that keeps them in customs for so long? I.e. do they do more clearance checks when it's solid gold, high value brands like Rolex, etc?

And so the circle closes... The OP certainly had a hypothesis, but the thread did get a little off-topic since then. And not everyone was terribly pleased to hear the initial complaint. But surely we can all agree, douaniers gotta douane, so wherever there is customs there's the potential for all kinds of pointless delay.

Thanks! It has however been showing "Auf dem Weg" (for non german speakers here: "On the way") every single time the UPS tracking system updates. :whipped:

The ignorance of non-urban inhabitants of the UK?

Might even take longer with FedEx- watch arrived in the first week of October, invoice arrived around the 20th January.
