·Hey guys,
I would like to present you a new addition to the family. 😀
Found this watch by chance on a third-class site for selling used items. When I saw it at first I thought it was a 14381 with onyx markers but after looking at the caseback I realized it wasn’t a classic Constellation. It was 2887. Quickly contacted Desmond who confirmed the originality and after a few days of slow communication with the seller, the watch finally headed towards me. The seller had about 20 reviews (for some it would be enough to avoid it) but I decided to take a risk. Since he didn’t want to send it to my country, I had to ask my wife’s friend to pick it up at her address. Watch arrived wrapped in toilet paper and placed in a thin envelope. Luckily it came in one piece.
As far as I understood reading Desmond's blog, this is an uncommon watch although some more experienced members of this forum would say, rare. 😗
The steel case with the screw back shows traces of wear, which is common for a watch this old and the dial has a slight patina. The crown is original and I am now in the process of finding period correct buckle.
Im very happy with this purchase and hope you like it as much as I do.
Best regards,
Tom
