I love this gorgeous evenly distributed patina on dial and hands:

This is a Longines ref. 23313 without military markings on the back.

While the dial will not get much better I will try to get the steel case sympathetically refreshed:

Fortunately the movement, a Longines cal. L15.68Z or cal. L15.18, does not look so bad:

I just learned from Longines that the reference number is not 23313, the second number engraved in the case back, but 3582, sold in 1946 to Slovakia. The books confirm the movement cal. 15.68Z.

That chocolate bezel on that speedy is really nice. You don't see those often.

second series calibre 30. no T something. just 30. and patina..........ghostdial 2 tone silver and 39 mm diameter. kind regards. achim

I can hardly believe the dimension of 39 mm - AFAIK these models have a diameter of 37,5 mm (without crown of course) - have several of them in my collection.
