Hey mates.

I need your help regarding some watches I am going to maybe buy next week. Those watches all come from the daughter of a collector who passed away last year. I allready purchased some watches from her, all were legit.
This time she offered me some more interesting watches. Beneath them, are three Lemania watches. Two chronographs (Cal 15TL I suppose) and a TG195. The TG is in really bad state, but hopefully the dial turns out good. Hands will be a challenge to get (any lead? 馃榾 ).

Regarding the chronos, I think the white one is a clear redial. But what about the black one? Havnt found a second one, but the patina looks quite genuine. Whats your opinion?
I hope the pics are good enough for a first evaluation, will get more on tuesday.

Thanks Nico

Hopefully @Northernman will weigh in, but at first glance I agree with your observations. The white dial appears to be a good redial (and perhaps this is because I'm especially focusing on the sub-dials), and the black one looks better, although I would be happier to see SWISS at the bottom.

Looks like a different dial, compare the size and font of the Arabic hour markers

I see the exact same font, just with thinner and with more fat lume. All the other fonts and snakes scales seems to match... in my opinion 馃榾

I'm confused - I thought you were saying you'd found the same dial? This dial isn't the same as it has different font and lume

Ahm, I am not sure if I am lost in translation.

I see the same dial (of course not the exact same one, cause its in another watch). I see a lot of open 6s and 9s on both dials for example.
Here are some crops from the lume. Under the flat lume, you see the old lume or at least the form of the old numbers.

Sorry if I am totally mistaken, but somehow I dont see your point at the moment.

Hi.
Interesting watches!
Could you provide some case back pictures, and also movement shots?
It would help a lot in establishing if they are legit or not.

The TG195 is surely a mix of parts. Hands might be sourced.

Blank dials was supplied without lume, but with the numerals printed as templates for the watchmaker when he applied luminous compound.
Remember that the lifetime of the lume was not too many years.

That makes totally sense, thank you! I will get more pics on tuesday and hopefully have the watches in my hand a week later.
What are your thoughts on the white Lemania?

Found another of those black dials, this time with a bit thicker lume font. The white one still gives me a headache 馃榿

The white dial looks very good.
if it is a redial, someone are doing a very good job!

If it鈥檚 original to the watch I can not say.
I am not convinced as the hands does not line up with the outer tracks. Normally they would be sized to point exactly on the markers/tracks.
Cheers

Ok, the watches arrived yesterday and I see some good and some bad things 馃槈 Good is the black Lemania and the TG195. Dial at the swedish three crowns towns out better than expected after a crystal transplantation. The hands of course were garbish too. Now I need hands for this beauty and I appreciate any lead. The black Lemania has some movement problems, but is complete. Will bring her to the watch doc next week to cure the problems.
The White one works great, but I still think its a redial unfortunately. So here I would look for a dial.

If any of you has some of the requested parts, please let me know.

Here comes the pics:

Since the lume on the black one wasnt original radium anyway, I decided to fresh her a bit up. Thanks to James the result is breathtaking...at least for me 馃榿
