Solid gold?

Looking at purchasing this watch.

I did my diligence and looked up the ref # and looked at the specs sheet and details on omega website. But it didn’t really say anything useful about the gold.

I then clicked the lil chat bubble on the omega website and talked to a representative, They said the gold is 18k solid gold.

that doesn’t feel right to me…

does anyone know if these dials/bracelet links. Are solid gold? Or just 18k plated/filled?

Where are you buying this from?
There should be hallmarks if solid gold case and bracelet.

eBay. It has authenticity guarantee service attached to it.

so I don’t think it’s fake.

but I don’t think it’s solid gold. But that’s what the omega rep told me on their chat service.

Ask for pics of hallmarks and inner case back.
Do they guarantee the gold content? The watch is not going to be worth a whole lot more than the gold melt value.

I suspect that the bezel and links are gold, but I don't know why it matters very much to you. Are you planning to take the watch apart and sell the gold pieces?

No. I’m just curious if it’s solid gold or plated.

Yes the bezel and link end pieces are indeed gold. Which makes them very expensive to replace if damaged or if the bracelet is too small. There is maybe 3g total so it it makes you warm inside to think there is £100 value in the gold were you to scrap it all good.

Not scrapping it. Just was curious if it was solid or plated.
