For sale is a lovely 38mm Reference 2505. Rarely do you find these in this condition. It must have been sitting in a safe for the last 70 years.

Dial & Hands - All original and in excellent condition with rose gold markers and hands.

Case & Crown - Case is stainless and in great condition. It's a very nice and wearable 38mm sans crown with 18mm lugs. Crown is signed and appears to be original. Inside caseback is signed 2505-24.

Crystal - Unsigned crystal is in excellent condition. I have seen this model with a lower profile crystal so there may be an option to swap it out at service.

Movement - Caliber 265 is clean and running well. 11 million serial number dates the watch to the second half of the 1940s. Service history unknown.

Strap & Buckle - The watch is fitted with a custom made Horween "antique" leather strap and signed omega buckle. This strap was around $100 new and fits my 7" wrists on the center hole.

Pics from previous seller:

Asking $1,450 shipped CONUS.

DHL International express for an extra $50.

You can look me up under the same name on ebay.

I just verified that the thumbprint on the caseback is Jimmy Hoffa's!

Seriously, that is a beauty, a modern size but a vintage watch. I love it.

OMG! 馃グ

Saved on a new purchase by an early bird, no doubt...

Congrats to the seller and to the 'quick-draw-McGraw' buyer!

Look alright to me (to my relatively untrained eye) apart from hands.

Are they difficult to source? Im quite keen on it... apart from never having bought from Argentina before...

I honestly know very little about this reference.

My comment about the hands was based only on their length; notice the minute hand goes well beyond the minute track, and the hour hand goes all the way to the minute track. This, to me, indicates they are probably replacements, but maybe a search (or a more knowledgeable Omegaphile 馃榾) would reveal that I am wrong!

I don't like the subdial either. It may be original but that would be the first I've seen done like that.
