I am selling this watch to make room for an incoming watch (finally found me a constellation 2852) This watch was purchased in July 2018. Serviced in Ottawa, Canada, 2018 shortly after purchase. Movement: It is a Tissot Cal 28.5-21 Bumper Automatic. The movement appears to be in good condition. Winding is smooth. Keeping good time, did a check wearing it for > 24 hours. I'd say losing < 30 seconds over 24 hours at present. Serial 286xxxx dates it to 1953. I think my pictures show that although Tissot is not an upper Swiss luxury watch, they put effort into making quality movements. Dial: Original radium lumed hands and hour markers. Hour lume markers are intact throughout, although the lume has worn away slightly on the minutes hand. The dial is an uncommon "piepan" type variation. The dial shows even spotted patination throughout, no uneven nicks/stratches. Logo is perfect without any signs of wear. Case: Stainless steel, lug width is 16 mm. Uncommon "bombé" lugs. Original "bowler hat" crown. Caseback extremely sharp with minimal signs of wear. Overall there are tiny stratches from honest wear, but nothing worth pointing out or overly noticeable. I love these casebacks, which in my opinion exude 50s industrial charm. Although lug width is small, watch is "thicker" than other Tissots I've owned from that era. **Full disclosure. When I bought this watch, the seconds hand had broken off at the tip. I purchased a vintage stainless steel Tissot from a comparable era (1952) and had the seconds hand replaced (picture from seller included below). The seconds hand is slightly longer than the original (by 1-2 mm), but overall I haven't really noticed it when wearing it. Youtube video of the watch in natural lighting.
