SOLD-Heuer Autavia 2446C

Nice example of the hard to find Heuer Autavia 2446C Chronograph with the fabled Valjoux 72 movement. Watch shows signs of use, but looks great for a 50 year old tool watch. I had a complete sympathetic service and cleaning last year by one of the best Heuer watchmakers in the US. Everything works as it should, keeps good time and chronograph functions start/stop and reset. Due to the age no warranties are given or implied, and the watch is sold as-is.

The watch comes with a very nice black @Heuerville racing strap as seen in the new photos at the bottom of this thread.

The reference number and serial number are clearly visible between the lugs and shown in the images below.

Crystal was replaced during service.

No- it's found my grail season. This is one I'm going to regret selling later when I get off the meds 🙁

BTW- the watch is famous...this is the actual Autavia that was featured on Tag Heuer's Instagram account.

Here are some images- taken prior to service. It still had the original crystal when I found it, which has since been replaced along with a full cleaning and sympathetic service.

On the wrist, the watch is absolutely stunning. In a loup, you can see all the evidence of a 50 year old watch that has been worn. For me this patina is what makes these watches special.
