Brand: Omega
Model: Constellation
Year: 1963
Case Ref: 168.004, 35mm
Dial: "Pie Pan" style
Movement: Calibre 561 with semi quickset date (alternate between 9 to 12 to shift)
Crown: Original hidden crown
Strap: Hirsch leather in dark brown
Buckle: Original Omega buckle
Case and Crown Condition: Very good condition. Pitting and scratching are present but in line with the age of the watch. The photos look way worse than it does in person. Case back is a similar condition with the observatory pretty sharp. Original hidden crown in excellent condition. In my experience it's rare to find this model with the hidden crown still intact.
Dial and Hand Condition: Completely original and mostly excellent with a nice patina developed. The is a patch of damage at the very edge around the 4 o'clock marker as visible in the photos. Not an issue to me when seeing it in person but your mileage may vary. All dial hardware in great condition and hands are excellent.
Movement Condition: Cal 561 movement is in superb condition with all original chronometer rated parts and no evidence of rubbing on the rotor. Movement was fully serviced in March 2015
Strap and Buckle Condition: Brown leather Hirsch strap replaced at time of last service (March 2015) and worn only 2 or 3 times since. Original Omega buckle in excellent condition
If I've missed pointing anything specific out in the description above, the photos serve as the final description. Please also check out my 100% positive feedback, including on a number of previous watch sales. The watch will be sent by express mail with tracking.
I'm happy to answer your questions but I don't stop auctions early on an offer so please don't request that, the only way to stop it early is to 'Buy It Now' I'm afraid.
This is a great piece but I unfortunately need to thin out my collection to pay for a forced trip back to the UK for family reasons. Please check out my other items as I'll be adding a few more Omega pieces over the next week or so.
