For sale is my Seiko SDBC053. This is one of Seiko's "modern reinterpretations" of the original 62MAS diver. This is the blue dial / blue enamel bezel variant sometimes referred to as the "BlueMAS". Included in the sale, along with the OEM Seiko rubber strap, are a Strapcode oyster style aftermarket bracelet with fitted end links as well as an Uncle Seiko rubber waffle strap. Also included are the original box, manuals, and warranty card dated June of 2018. The watch is in excellent condition. I'd estimate 9/10. There are two flaws that are noticeable with the naked eye. First, there are two hairline scratches in the bezel at roughly the 5 minute mark. Second, there is a small nick in the bezel at roughly the 30 minute mark. Movement hand winds, hacks, and functions as it should. I do not have any timing equipment, but while wearing the watch it has been kept time to within +/- 15 seconds per day. That said, by offering that estimate I am NOT guarantying any specific level of timekeeping performance. I'm asking $475 (reduces from $550) for everything net of PayPal fees, including shipping within the United States. Payment via PayPal. Thank you to Omegaforum for the space. Everything pictured is included: Photos of the watch from multiple angles and with each bracelet/strap option: Close ups of the watches two visible flaws:
i had the black one and actually bought the mm300 hands to install. they look amazing together. Very well priced, GLWS!
Thank you for the encouraging notes. I thought I would add some information regarding the watches dimensions for everyone's benefit. The dimensions are: Case width - 43mm Lug-to-lug - 50mm Thickness - 14mm Lug width - 20mm My reason for selling is that I've decided that the watch is too big for my just under 6.5 inch wrist. In my opinion it looks OK with the Uncle Seiko waffle, but not with the bulkier OEM rubber strap or with the bracelet due to the male end links. As I wanted this piece to be a dressier diver, the misfit with the bracelet ended up being the deal breaker. Should look great on a 6.75 inch or bigger wrist though.
Deal fell through, so reducing the price to $525. This is my first sale on the forum, but I have made a couple of parts purchases and will do my best to source a reference for a potential buyer. Glad to provide proof of possession (e.g. a photo with the watch set to the time you request) as well. Also, since I was asked, I am willing to sell to / ship to an international buyer. However, at that point the shipping cost and PayPal fees become a pretty large %age of the overall transaction, so would look for the buyer to shoulder the expense above and beyond a domestic transaction. Have a great weekend all.
New watch arrived yesterday, so bumping for a final price reduction to get this thing sold. Now $475 with everything or $400 for just the watch on the OEM band.
