Let’s raise a glass to the other guy who’s day has been much worse than yours.

eh, he probably just grazed it against the corner of a brick facade. A little Cape Cod and it will be all better.

(bezel and crown, and maybe crystal, and good as new?)

Good thing the watch took the hit, and not the wrist.

Hmmm, Omega Speedmaster "Silence of the Lambs" LE? The 25th anniversary is in 2023 -- time to get your deposits in!

Apparently the result of crashing your motorcycle.
Hope he was OK?

Makes you wonder why people bike around in shorts and a T-shirt ...

Should have been wearing a Globemaster -- that tungsten carbide bezel is bulletproof. 😀 Hope the owner is ok now because he's gonna be sick when he gets the repair estimate from Rolex.

Hope he doesn't send it to Rolex, they'll ruin its value with replacement parts.

And they won’t return any parts that they replace.

All jokes aside, if I walked away from that one I would be wearing this as-is for the rest of my life.

I did in my early mo-biking years. Got cured of that by a 6 hour trip in July sunshine that I didn't feel at all, until I reached my destination and realised how burnt I was. Last long trip (9 hours) was across central France in July in thick leathers [*] that had to be rapidly unzipped to the edge of indecency every time I stopped.

[*] Hideout for the Brits here. Plus point: I had unknowingly picked a shade of blue that was the same that the French police used for their leathers. The seas of cars parted before me 😉

Considering the dislocated indices I'd be shocked if it was still running
