So what do we know about the DD145.022 (Two-Tone) Speedy?

TT is not my thing - sorta gross. To me it sends a message that either you could not decide between gold and steel, or could not afford all gold...

Or maybe the message is you just like Speedmasters, no matter if they are steel, TT, or gold. 馃榾

Early on, I was no fan of the gold or the TT. But a friend let me try on his gold speedy and I got hooked. I was on the fence about the TT, but felt it was the best option for the SDC, as I needed an 80s speedy to finish the collection. It is now one of my favorites.

To me, it鈥檚 visual overload. It鈥檚 a lot of clashing going on. It鈥檚 just not for me, but it鈥檚 a solid watch

I much prefer the DA145.022 (black dial) over the DD. I think both are overlooked right now

Well I like Speedmasters plenty, but typically just the regular Speedy. Fancy LE's, different materials, etc. are just not my thing, but if you love it, that's all good with me. It's still a step up from an Invicta after all. 馃槈

Here鈥檚 one bicolore (two-tone) Speedmaster from 1985 that you don鈥檛 see every day 馃榾

Very happy to add this one to my birth year collection. A quite rare bird 馃グ

Like the other DD 145.022 (except the Italian 2x500pces), delivered to Germany, mid eighties, in several small and unnumbered batches. The extract confirms the reference and destination market. All three German DDs are now pictured in this thread, thanks to @ChicagoFrog & @Cad290 馃槈

How come most of the 1985 Speedies are either with Gold or some freaking expensive Moon complication.. me too is a 1985 birth year, so unfair 馃槖 馃榾

Now that i know that you @kov is same birthyear, that makes my chances ever finding some bragain even less probable!! 馃榿
On the other hand, maybe i should be patient and wait until you put your beautiful collection for sale 馃槜
