I'm into chess.

1st place!

Sitting down on the far left. I was the UCLA chess club president last year.

Sorry, I couldn't resist! 😜 I used to play many moons ago. Just don't have the time or patience for it anymore. 🙁

Music boxes provide an alternative fascination for me…..…..

Reuge is a great maker. They also helped Mermod Freres make a wrist sized version of a music box - this one plays 4 tunes...

Cheers, Al

Only 4 tunes? 😲 My 1980's Casio can play 12 tunes including Happy birthday and Jingle Bells.😜
Just kidding. It must be awesome to have mechanical music box in your wrist. Do you have short video on how it operates and sounds?

No sorry - it was too dark and too loud in the restaurant we were in to get a video...

Here is a promotional animation of the watch:

This shows the 4 music disks rotating as they would when you select a different tune.

BTW this one retailed for about $100K...

Too bad they use background music rather than the real watch melodies tune.

😲 ........next watch please..........

I'm into chess. I try to play a tournament every month, if I can.

Me in a tournament in San Francisco last week.

Final pairing in a fun UCLA tournament.

All good in my books. I played when I was younger and have recently got my kids into chess...got them a cool new board, clock and take them to chess club at the local University (where I play as well)...

Well I sold my Harley last fall, I rode police motorcycles for 12 years, so I have had enough of them, I do maintain a 1968 pontiac lemans with 8 track stereo and that keeps me occupied.

I collect musical instruments (4 guitars, 6 trumpets, flugelhorn, flute, grand piano) but I'm a retired band director, so that's more like tools for work (not that I needed that many). I liked racquetball until my knees went a few months ago. I love golf and grandchildren. I like fountain pens, shaving gear and cars quite a bit. My attitude is basically that nothing is too good for me. Unfortunately I don't have the bank account to make that a reality.

I like to play with my old Vespa's when I get the opportunity.

Cheers

I sold my clubs. I hadn't played in a long time, I figured if I took it up again I'd get new, modern clubs.

Guy comes and looks at clubs, agrees to buy them without haggling. He seems excited.

On the way out to his car in my driveway, he pulls out one putter, throws EVERYTHING else in my garbage can.

Sure wish I'd checked that putter on eBay before I sold it.

Lots of interesting pursuits here!

Aside from the watches, I'm into motorsports/vintage cars (early 70s-early 90s) and architecture mostly, with lesser interests in cooking and the airline industry.
