Oh my flipping lord, I am BESIDE myself looking at this post. I mean, WOW, a great example of how studying, making friends, listening and networking pay off. Good gravy.

May I ask - were you able to get it for a good price? The subject "barnfind" would indicate yes, and I dont want to be crass and ask for the actual amount, but I think a part of me is dying to know whether you walked a way not only a winner, but a god amongst horologists. Again, dont need the details, but a smug "oh yeah" would just be the cherry on top.

What's funny is that I started on this Forum over 4 years ago with a Ploprof and Red Sub...and now I am in a whole different strata that I never imagined, and I know for a fact it is because of OF.

@marturx taugh me the importance of a case
@pitpro just taught me a lot and @MikiJ introduced me to him
@gemini4 set the standard for "jesus that guy buys the most insane stuff" and always shared information
@kox helped me with more 300s than I count
@Kali77, @propervinyl , and @77deluxe has become a trusted friend
@STANDY has been a pain the A$$ but I love him
@ChicagoFrog good ole sibling rivalry, especially on ebay!

There are many more...but point is that I wouldn't be here without the people on this forum because I've learned so much, especially the importance of how to treat other collectors and conduct yourself...plus all of the damn knowledge!

Incredible watch. Incredible story. And clearly ended up in the hands of an incredible collector. This makes me happy. And maybe just a tad jealous... but mostly happy!

My advise to anyone, is never be scared to PM a member that has a watch you like. ( especially when they have just bought something new and expensive ) 馃槜
