One benefit is not having to set the date on a non-quick set movement. But, that went out the door couple years ago when I thought myself how to read Arabic numerals.
Am also in that category: I learned how to read arabic numbers 馃槈

I'm wondering wheteher those date disk were fitted with the watch when new, or added later. Any clue on this?
thanks

It all depends as to which country the watch was destined to be sold.

Not all watches in Arab countries came with arabic date wheels.

Thx @ATWG @swaini3 . So I understand some watches were sold new with an Arabic date wheel.
Is there any way to know whether mine was sold like this, or if the wheel was added later?

None that I'm aware of as Rolex does not offer a COA or extract from archives.

Notice the arabic day disk 馃槈.
I felt in love with the very clean dial and original + matching lume

I really love this reference and this is a really nice example: -) Congratulations.

Hello.
Just a question for 1675 specialists.
Heard that gilt dial gmt鈥檚 should have the small arrow on the 24 hours hand.
But I see some late gilt with tritium dial with big arrow. Does it make sense?
Thanks.

I've been a satisfied owner of this "long E" 1675 for around a year. It came with the original rivet bracelet but I mostly rotate this through a few different leather straps. This one captures the fade of the blue half of the bezel quite nicely.
