Nice.
Clean and service like any other vintage watch you buy. Then simply wear it before bed for a hour each day. 馃槈

If I had an extra 100 Gs layin' around, I make you a Good Father offer.
Damn it, no 100 Gs layin' around 馃檨

I would just clean it. As you may eventually sell it (I suppose), you shall offer an optional crystal polishing to your buyer. It will avoid from showing the disgraceful word "polished" on your offering.

Oh god!!

My opinion, i would gently clean up the dirt and polish the glass. That's it.

That's an amazing looking watch, congratulations! I don't know much about 2915s but if even SP101.com says they are rare, they must be super rare!

I love cheese on my Sammies, not on my watches. Great catch! Truly a special catch! Congrats!

Good lord...... what an amazing story and just goes to prove to us all that despite the huge volume of people now scouring the globe for these gems that they are still out there...... tucked away in a drawer somewhere waiting to be liberated. I am also quite reassured that it hasn't just found its way to some auction house for it simply to be sold for some stratospheric profit....... great job OP and wear and enjoy

Thanks to a very graceful fellow watch collector (though not an Omega collector), that put me in touch with his watchmaker who was looking to sell a few watches from his personal collection, I was able to land this outstanding example of an untouched CK2915-3 Speedmaster.

The watchmaker bought it years ago off the wrist of the original owner.
He left the watch as it was taken off the original owner's wrist. Untouched.
He never serviced it or even cleaned it, and it sat in his safe for all of these years until about a week ago when it came to my possession.

The dial is probably one of the nicest and most well preserved CK2915 dials in existence. It is absolutely perfect.
The movement is pristine and it doesn't look like any of the screws have ever been turned since the watch left the factory.
The subdial hands are clean and free of any chips that are typical for hands that have been removed and re-installed due to service.
This watch is just sublime in every way.

I took a few photos of it in its "AS IS" condition for you to enjoy.

Now the question is; would you leave it AS IS? Or clean off the Wrist Cheese and polish that plexi so the full beauty of the dial can show through? Part of me wants to leave it and enjoy it as it is...

WOW! 馃槻 That鈥檚 amazing! Congrats 馃憤

Nice watch, great find, good story.
But...
I've been away from the forum for a while and has it seriously come to this? Maintaining original wrist cheese? Ugh! How long until hodinkee has an article on the importance of maintaining original feculence?
