My wife couldn’t wait to give me my Christmas present…the new hesalite 3861 Speedmaster! Fantastic watch. Chronometer movement is keeping great time (+1 in the last 24 hrs), and the stepped dial adds depth and a bit of pop..it’s a pleasure to look at. Bracelet is much improved over the last version, and (at least so far) I don’t have any complaints about the “sharpness” of the links. It’s extremely comfortable, imo. That said, I do like to switch out my straps often, and put it on a leather strap this morning. Anyway, so far so good, and very excited about this watch!

Congrats. So far my favorite watch that I’ve owned. Even over watches worth twice as much.

Very Nice, Congrats. I've got a 3861 Sapphire ordered hoping for a Holiday delivery, Looking forward to trying out the new Bracelet. My AD had a 3861 on a leather strap, agree with you on the step dial, definitely a winner.

Very good choice.... This new speed is a killer, the 105.012 look makes it so desirable... Moreover, an excellent caliber.... Don't need more!

Huge improvement over the previous bracelet. Very comfortable and didn’t notice any of the sharpness/hair pulling that others have complained about. Enjoying it on the leather strap at the moment. Also ordered the OEM fabric strap from my local AD. Excited to check that out.

Nice watch, just make sure you don't let the springbars distort the lugs with all that strap changing. 😉.

Congrats on the new Speedy! It looks fantastic on all kinds of straps. I’m quite enjoying mine on the new bracelet until I can decide on a really nice strap for it.

It is, as they say, a strap monster! Just ordered the 3861 endlinks for the US1450 so I can use that bracelet as well..

You have a very generous and understanding wife. Was this a complete surprise or had you dropped her a few hints?

Ichange straps often as well...
I buy either omega bars or the swiss ones from ofrei. the ofrei quality is much better than any of the alternatives available and are as close to the omega branded ones as I have found. you can get a pack of them for a good price. they have an 18$ minimum order but a pack of a few different sizes and a new springbar tool will take care of the requirement quickly. I use the springbar tool with the flat end which works best ofn straps and i think it scratches less...
try these: https://www.ofrei.com/page1229.html

A couple of observations after a few days on the wrist…first, this watch is crazy accurate. After about 3 days it’s running 2 to 3 seconds fast. Usually my new watches take a few days or even weeks to settle in, so that kind of accuracy right out of the box is noteworthy. We’ll see if that changes, but really impressed so far. Second, I am really enjoying the new dial. The stepped dial gives it depth and is simply wonderful to look at. Finally, I’ve had it on the OEM bracelet for the last 24 hours and really think it’s great. I removed another link (5 in all) so have it fairly snug on my 7 inch wrist, but still a decent amount of room so it doesn’t feel tight. I’m finding it extremely comfortable and a big improvement over the previous bracelet. I did order new end links to adapt my US 1450 bracelet, but not sure I’ll be wearing it on that one much given how much I like the new bracelet. I also have the OEM fabric strap and deployant on order so looking forward to that as well. Here are some more shots on the bracelet from earlier today…

My AD texted me yesterday @ 6:30 pm that my Sapphire 3861 came in. I was there @7:15 pm, bought the watch and had their tech size it by 7:45. I guess that's what they call a Speedy purchase. It spent all day on my wrist today. I'm Loving it, finally a watch I can read the time without squinting. Lol
