Nice pick up. I really like it.

I have a .357 NS as well, mine was done at Colt. Even full power .357 in a New Service is a plesant shooting round.

Unfortunately mine had the grip frame ground down for someone with small hands. I picked up a set of NS pachmayrs for it and made a bit of a spacer using a leather strap to line it and now fits my hand better.

Became an authorized dealer for a lot of the bigger companies like SIG, CZ, Magpull and too many others to list, in 2024. Not going to spam my business here, though.

I do enjoy the old stuff a lot more than the new stuff and look forward to getting into the collector side of the business soon.

Anyhoo, put this Russian Kobra sight on my bulgarian, milled AK, SAM7SF this week. Fun range toy. Here's my GOV issue, Colt 45, since you guys seem to like those a lot, too.

I apparently missed "Wheelgun Wednesday" at work yesterday. Had to make up with "Three Fifty Seven Thursday".

(with the ever present watch, of course.)

I can get in on .357 Thursday. Here's my Colt New Service in .357. The Pachmayer grips really helped bring this gun's grip back up to an appropriate size and now it gets shot pretty often.

@Wryfox does your new one have the star on the cylinder? I'm told this is the best way to tell if it is a Colt or Numrich conversion. Colt used the star on their high test steel.

For fun here are some other DA .357s. I still own the Colt 3-5-7 and the 4" Python. My son has the 6" Python now and the 50s S&W .357 was a partial trade on my pickup.

My cylinder has a P where your star is. I've read the barrel markings are typical of the Numrich parts. Woulda been cool if it was a Colt conversion.

We both have cool guns, that might be a bit cooler if one or two things were a bit different about them. I have a parts 1917 that has a worn out barrel. I've thought about moving my .357 barrel and cylinder to it a few times. That would be the easiest way to fix my grip frame problem.

A darling of the collection. Never thought I'd want a new Python but having heard only great things, I figured if I came across one I'd try it.

Found this cherry 6" stainless with oversize Ivory resin grips. Great combination!

This new model is the bees knees as my grandpa used to say.

Tight and smoooooooooth. Just beautiful. The polished stainless is perfectly done.

If it were a gal I'd ask her to the prom.😎😁😍

What are the handles made out of, are keeping those on it?

My three amigos from a few years back. Mod 29 .44Mag, Mod 19 357 Mag and Mod 66 357 Mag. The grips were each special order timber from Smith and Wesson. They looked nice but I modified each of them to a more realistic grip shaped to fit my hand. I also modified the sears to get a smoother release and reduced the mainspring pressure to assist my DA speed shooting.

The 357s were used in a lot of practical pistol competitions. The .44 was just for fun, and occasionally went hunting for wild pigs. I miss them....

This was my comp gun back in the day. I don't think I've shot it in 30yrs.

S&W 19-3, made 1976.

Kept it just as is from when I bought it almost 40years ago. It was perfect. target trigger, target hammer. perfect tuning. Many thousands of rounds through it after I got it. Still perfect.

It takes a special place in the front of my revolver display at home.

The best bullseye revolver I've ever used. It's capable of a 2 1/2" group at 50 yds, even if I'm not.

Took my Nova shooting sporting clays yesterday. Jammed twice, will need a good clean and oil before another outing

I was not the only one though. Curious if the provided Fiocci shells might be the culprit.
