So... any of our members here have an interest in firearms?

Ooo... I don't know.

There are some pre-war (post-war too, for that matter) Smith & Wesson K and N frames that are mighty fine.
I only own one Smith anymore, a K framed .357 from the mid 50s. As far as I'm concerned it's about the best revolver Smith ever built, barring it's illustrious predecessor, but I still don't like it better than a contemporary Colt.

Another decent shooter Colt Police Positive Special asked me to take it home, so I did. This one is from 1923 and is chambered in .32-20.

.32-20, one of my favorite cartridges.

Ought to be popular today.

Still have a 1873 Winchester in 32-20. Feels like shooting a 22. Obsolete today but years ago found a bunch of it so I'm good for life I think.

I’ve been interested in firearms, shooting, and hunting for many years. While I prefer shooting handguns, I also enjoy shooting rifles as well as sporting clays. My most recent acquisition is a suppressor for my AR-15 rifle. My last trip to the range with it was really fun. A suppressed .223 rifle still requires hearing protection at around 132 dB, but it’s much quieter than an unsuppressed rifle. Good stuff. I’ve added a pic of a few of my favorite handguns also.

Had an impulse buy today...

Those GP100s are tanks. Every gun owner should have one. When I lived in Alabama many years ago, that was the local police gun. Kinda rare because almost everyone else carried Smiths. I remember when they traded them all in for Glocks at a local gun distributor. Soon all the local guys like me were carrying cheap little GP100s. I think they were $99.

It’s a bit long but I thought some of you would appreciate this vid. Unboxing a new Lee Enfield after nearly 70 years.

I’ve not previously posted on this thread but I wanted to say how interesting I found this Lee Enfield post.

As a member of the cadets in the mid sixties, I drilled with, used on exercises and fired one of these and, of course, cleaned it afterwards with a pull-through stored in the butt.

Same for me in the seventies. We even had a .303 Bren (at 14 :0)

Yes, that was heavy.
And Stens, where the recoil always resulted in my firing in an upward parabola.

Informative video and beautiful rifle. I just picked up No.5 MK1 "Jungle Carbine". Will probably arrive next week while I'm in Europe. This is the listing photo but looks to be in pretty good condition for a 75 year old rifle.

Do any of you know of a gunsmith in the US that will build a Cetme-C from a parts kit? I spoke to a highly regarded HK G3 builder who wouldn't do it, although it's basically the same rifle without the HK modifications.
I have everything needed, including barrel and receiver.

I thought this video (weapons owned by Winston Churchill) was good. I imagine a few listed that people here would like on their ticket.
Also a funny message to critics of sponsors adverts (needed these days for free independent content providers to keep their head above water thanks to all the YouTube algorithms changes)

Did me a trigger job today. Made a mess polishing, added some shims and new springs. Definitely an improvement over stock

Been a bit under the weather but made the effort to go out with a friend and get a club stamp last night as I am tryiing to get back into the hobby which is a long road in the UK. So glad we did as a very accomodating chap let us try some old school shooting. My ears are still ringing and we both managed to be well on target - might be the direction of travel for me longer term.

Not sure - the chap was very kind to let us have a go and we were in the range so limited chat time. I am sure I will see him again so I will check and report back at some point. It was a very light trigger / shot well.
