Thank you. When I scoured the Internet, I could only find two 6-inch barreled releases, but this is the only 4-inch I have ever seen. It is unfired and unturned, aside from the factory testing, and I hate not being able to shoot it just once. I had to buy a lesser Willi Korth gun to resist the temptation.

I wouldn't have the self control to not shoot it at least once, turn line be damned. I think we all need pictures if this "lesser" Korth that you also have.

Ooo... Very nice Korth!

It just wouldn't do for me to own it for I'd have to shoot the hooey out of it so as to experience it.

Another beautiful gun with scarcely any wear, in fact the turn line and the faintest bit of middle wear are the only indications I can see in the photo that it's ever been used.

Detective is a neato variant.

Love High Powers nearly as much as I do 1911s. Only two reside here, a early post war FN and a later .40 S&W.

I have another one that was built by Chuck Warner. It is undergoing a facelift right now. The trigger on this one is the best I have ever experienced on a Hi Power. I am anxious to get it out of the shop.

I really like that Cylinder and Slide detective, they did some nice work. The only hi-power I have every owned was an FEG PJK that I owned four a few years. It was a pretty good clone and close enough to the real thing to accept any Browning parts.

Yes, but prices are going to be inflated on them for a bit. I wouldn’t buy one yet.

I imagine it'll be just like the new Pythons, their prices have finally started to come down and those that paid 150% of MSRP to get one last year will be kicking themselves soon.

I probably won't. I got a S&W M&P 9EZ with the grip safety and thumb safety, so I'm good for 9mm. I have a few 1911s, including a Colt from October 1917, a Turnbull-made Remington-UMC, and a Remington R1S that is now a stainless clone of an M1911A1.

October 1917, pshaw, why not go for an antique Colt? I think we'd love to see your old war horse, and if you've shown us before it won't hurt to show us again.

This one is one of the orginal contract guns Argentina bought from Colt in 1915 and were adopted the next year as the Modelo 1916.

From the same time frame, a British contract Colt Government Model chambered in .455 S.L. (or .455 Automatic, .455 Webley Automatic, .455 Eley, .455 Colt Auto, or whatever else you want to call the cartridge in referring to it - confusing? Take your pick.). Anyway, this one dates to 1916 and only bears its orginal markings and proof stamps. No refinish with added RAF marking.
